Immediately after a Nintendo Direct revealed details pertaining to 2022's new Super Mario Bros movie, leaked images surfaced of Seth Rogen's rendition of Donkey Kong — behind the scenes and in-render!
Not much was known about the upcoming Super Mario Bros movie other than it would be completely animated in an attempt to directly counter the polarising live action film released in 1993. Nintendo's September 2021 direct changed that however, by revealing the majority of the voice cast and giving a release window of Christmas 2022 in North America.
The movie which is tentatively known as Super Mario All Stars internally, features an eccentric cast to say the least:

The biggest news leaked immediately after the direct, with an image of a rendered Donkey Kong from the movie and another of Seth Rogen humouring Nintendo legend Shigeru 'Shiggy Shiggster Shiggus' Miyamoto in the recording booth at Illumination Studios.
